- I chose MIT because it was a perfect blend of competitive athletics as well as prestigious academics. It is one of the best institutions in the world for engineering and computer science as well as having one of the most competitive Division III programs in the country. What set MIT apart from other schools, however, was the atmosphere. MIT is very collaborative and the staff and students alike won’t even hesitate to help you succeed.
