Jerome Dausman begins his fifth season as an assistant coach for the MIT rifle program in 2023-24 after a gap of 43 years. He previously served as assistant coach during the 76-77 and 77-78 seasons while studying for a Master’s degree at the MIT Sloan School.
After taking second place in the MIT physical education rifle tournament his freshman year, Dausman was asked to join the team. By the end of his senior year, he was the top collegiate shooter in New England and competed in the US Olympic Trials. Since MIT, Dausman has coached numerous junior shooters in Maryland and Virginia. A fun fact is that Dausman is the 1982 US Monopoly® Champion.
