Brooke Schmeltz begins her first year on the staff of the MIT sailing program after graduating in 2025. A four-year member and team captain of the team, Schmeltz was named the NEISA Sportswoman of the Year in 2023-24, as well as a First Team Women's Skipper. She was also a two-time NEISA Sailor of the Week.

Schmeltz graduated with her degree Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and is now pursuing her master's degree at MIT.
