Ashley Iannone enters her first season as an assistant coach with the MIT softball program in 2020.

As a student-athlete, Iannone was a four-year member of the softball team at Division III Gettysburg College. In four seasons with the Bullets, Iannone registered a batting average of .316, hit a pair of home runs and tallied 37 RBI. Iannone led Gettysburg to two appearances in the Centennial Conference (CC) Tournament and in 2015 reached the championship final after posting an overall record of 30-14, which marked the program's second-ever 30 win season dating back to 1981.

Iannone graduated from Gettysburg with her degree in Health Sciences in 2015 and went on to receive her Master of Public Health from Boston University in 2017. When she is not coaching with the Engineers, Iannone serves as a Staff Consultant Epidemiologist at the JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. and Massachusetts Department of Public Health in Boston. Iannene is also certified as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.
