Biography
Before MIT:
- Attended The Derryfield School, graduated in 2026
- Participated in Irish dance and rowing
- Open Championship level of Irish Dance
- began rowing in 2024 and eventually competed in the 1x and OG2x senior year of high school
- won silver in the OG2x and competing in the B final in the 1x at USRowing Youth Nationals
- Longtime participant in FIRST Robotics, accompanying the team to FIRST Championships in 2023 and 2026
Personal:
- From Merrimack, NH
- Younger brother who also Irish dances
- Will in fact be distracted by dogs when rowing or rigging a boat
- Finds a little too much joy in cardio for a normal person
- Her grandfather, Paul Berger, graduated from MIT in 1963
- Her father, Erik Saunders, ran cross country at Dartmouth, 1995-1998
Why MIT?Â
- "I want to fight with the geese on the Charles (jk). I wanted a school that would enable me to be super intense athletically and academically, and be on a team that I know would support me but still make sure that I am pushed to be my best."
