Why MIT?
- "I chose to attend MIT because it offers the rare combination of rigorous academics, meaningful research opportunities, and a collaborative community. I am especially excited to study the brain and contribute to research that could improve the understanding and treatment of neurological injuries. MIT will allow me to learn from leading professors, work alongside students who are equally curious and driven, and apply what I learn to real-world problems. At the same time, I wanted a college where I could continue rowing, challenge myself athletically, and become part of a close-knit team. MIT gives me the opportunity to grow as a student, researcher, athlete, and person."
