Aaron Green begins his first season as the assistant coach for the MIT men's and women's swimming and diving program in 2023-24, as well as serving as a communications, promotions and marketing assistant. He came to MIT from Arcadia University (Pa.), where he served as the men’s and women’s swimming head coach and aquatics director since April 2022.
In the 2022-23 season, Green guided the Knights to a runner-up finish on the men’s side at the MAC Championship, along with a fourth-place finish by the women’s squad. The women’s team earned 12 All-Conference selections, while the men’s team had 20 student-athletes recognized as All-Conference performers.
Prior to his time at Arcadia, Green was the head coach at Hollins University in 2021-22 and had previously served as a graduate assistant for two years at the University of Lynchburg. At Lynchburg, the coaching staff was honored as the ODAC Coaching Staff of the Year in 2021 after leading the women’s team to a conference title and the men’s program to a runner-up finish.
A 2019 undergraduate of Widener University, Green graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in communications studies: public relations, advertising and marketing. As a student-athlete at Widener, he was the 2016 Middle Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Year, the three-time Middle Atlantic Conference Male Swimmer of the Year and the 2019 Widener University Male Athlete of the Year.
Green went on to earn his Masters in higher education leadership from the University of Lynchburg in 2021.
