Biography

2012-13: Strong senior season after not playing as a junior … first team All-NEWMAC at No. 2 doubles with Julia Hsu … second team All-NEWMAC at No. 3 singles … finished 7-5 in singles and 14-5 in doubles … Academic All-NEWMAC … ITA Scholar Athlete … started the season with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3 against Assumption (9/8) … followed that up with a 6-0, 6-2 decision at Springfield (9/15) … capped off her singles season with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 against Simmons (5/10) at the NCAA Tournament … went 11-4 in doubles with Hsu … pair won their first five matches of the season, including an 8-3 win at No. 2 at Wellesley (10/2) … took back-to-back 8-1 wins against Wheaton (10/16) and Smith (10/20) … won 8-0 against Wheaton (10/27) in a semifinal match of the NEWMAC Tournament … 8-0 win at Caltech (3/27) … 8-1 win over Simmons (5/10) with Victoria Tam at the NCAA Tournament.  

2011-12: Did not play. 

2010-11: Solid first season at MIT after joining the team in the spring … posted a perfect 11-0 mark in singles play, all at the No. 2 position … 9-1 in doubles … all of her doubles action came at No. 1 with Lauren Quisenberry … ITA Scholar Athlete … started her MIT career with a 6-2, 6-2 over Liz Feldman from NYU (3/4) … perfect 6-0, 6-0 win at Mills (3/23) … scored a 6-0, 6-1 win over her opponent from #22 Vassar (4/16) … also took a straight sets victory over Melissa Hirsch from #29 Skidmore (4/17) … teaming with Quisenberry, the duo posted back-to-back 8-0 wins over teams from Colby (3/12) and Mills (3/23) … team won consecutive 8-1 decisions over SUNY New Paltz (4/2) and Bates (4/9) … duo did not drop more than three games in any of their wins.

2009-10: Attended and played tennis at Johns Hopkins University … solid freshman campaign … posted a 9-5 mark in singles play … 6-4 at the No. 5 position … in doubles she went 13-7 … perfect 9-0 record in #3 doubles matches.

Off the Court at MIT: Majoring in biology … minor in chemistry … concentration in psychology … Merck Future Talent program internship … research at MIT’s Jacks Lab.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Valencia High School … California State Scholar Athlete … Empire League finalist in singles … two-time Empire League champion in doubles … helped her team to four league championships and three CIF titles … four-time scholar-athlete … National AP Scholar … National Merit Scholar … National Honor Society.

Personal: Brother, Curtis, is a member of the MIT Men’s Tennis team.
