Brody Smith joins the MIT Cross Country and Track and Field staff for the 2024-2025 school year as an assistant coach for the Cross Country and Track and Field Programs.
Smith graduated from Purdue University in 2021 where he competed for the Men's Cross Country and Track and Field Program. The Purdue school record holder in the Mile, Smith also earned multiple Big 10 All-Conference and USTFCCCA All-Region honors. Smith completed his Master's Degree at Syracuse University and competed for the Varsity Track and Field and Cross Country teams.
Following his graduation from Syracuse, Smith continues to compete, specializing in the Steeplechase. Smith ended the 2022 year ranked as a top-20 Steeplechaser in the US.
