Amanda Genovese will enter her fourth year on Coach Trotamn's staff in 2026. Genovese came to the Engineers from Brandeis University where she was an assistant from 2018-20. With the Judges she worked with the outfield and assisted with offensive drills.
Genovese was a part of the MIT staff which claimed the NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year as well as the NFCA Region II Coaching Staff of the Year in 2023 and 2025. She helped coach second team All-American outfielder Jordan Sell who threw out seven runners during the season. MIT went 36-8 during the 2023 season and captured the NEWMAC Tournament Championship and an NCAA Regional Crown. The Engineers defended their NEWMAC Tournament Title in 2024 as the staff was once again named the NFCA Region II Coaching Staff of the Year.
2025 saw MIT capture its third-consecutive NEWMAC Title, posting a 16-4 record in NEWMAC play to earn the top seed. The coaching staff won its second NEWMAC Staff of the Year and NFCA New England Coaching Staff of the Year.
Genovese earned her undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Brandeis in 2015 and got her masters in environmental sciences and policy in 2020 from Johns Hopkins University
