Devin Abbott joined MIT as an Assistant Coach in April 2025, the 2026-27 season will be his first with the team. He previously he served as an Assistant at Saint Joseph's College of Maine for 4 seasons.
During his tenure, Abbott helped the Monks win two conference championships, which led to two NCAA tournament appearances. Abbott played a pivotal role in recruiting, leading drills, scouting, fundraising and player development. He helped develop six 1,000 point scorers over his time with the Monks, as well as numerous All-Conference Selections, a two-time Conference Player of the Year and a two-time NABC All American Selection.Â
Abbott graduated from Saint Joseph's College in 2023 with his Bachelor's in Sports and Recreation Management and a Minor in Coaching. He also obtained his Master's in Business Leadership from Saint Joseph's College in 2025. Abbott was a Captain of the Cross Country and Track and Field programs at Saint Joe's, where he was a two-time Conference Champion and the 2023 SJC Student Athlete of the Year.
