Laura Paulsen enters her third year with the MIT men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs in the 2019-20 season.

A decorated student-athlete, Paulsen was a four-time All-American and three-time Centennial Conference Runner of the Year for Johns Hopkins University. As a senior in college, Paulsen was honored with the Catherine P. Campbell Award for the most Outstanding JHU Female Athlete. After graduating from Johns Hopkins with a degree in biomedical engineering, Paulsen competed in the indoor track and field season at Duke University while pursuing a Masters of Science in biomedical engineering.

Paulsen moved to Cambridge to pursue her MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management and has continued running as a member of the Brooks ID Elite Development Program training for the 2016 US Olympic Trials.
