Matt Piantedosi enters his twelfth year at MIT in 2026-27.

Before MIT

Prior to arriving at MIT, Piantedosi had a five-year tenure as part of fellow NEWMAC member Babson College’s Sports Medicine staff. Prior to joining the Babson Sports Medicine staff, Piantedosi was a resident-assistant athletic trainer at Boston College from 2007-10 primarily working with the football and the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams. 

Other Experiences

Piantedosi has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2007 and is an approved preceptor for Boston University’s athletic training education program.

Education

Piantedosi is a 2007 graduate of Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. Piantedosi received his Master's of Science degree in administration through the Father Woods College of Advancing Studies at Boston College.

He is a certified athletic trainer, licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
