Michelle Goodrich enters her 10th year at MIT in 2023-24 and second as associate head athletic trainer. With the Engineers, she serves as the primarily athletic trainer for the women’s field hockey, women's lacrosse, women's lightweight crew and men’s squash teams. She also assists in coordinating care for the men’s and women’s cross country teams. In addition, Goodrich organizes the weekly team physician clinic held at the MIT Medical and MIT Sports Medicine facilities.

She came to MIT from Pine Manor College, where she served as the head athletic trainer for five years. Prior to joining the Pine Manor staff, Goodrich was as an athletic training graduate assistant for Boston University from 2007-09. During this time, she coordinated care for the women’s rugby team while also serving as a laboratory teaching assistant for various clinical courses in the athletic training program. From 2006-07, she worked at the Leonard Morse physical therapy clinic at MetroWest Medical Center while also providing athletic training services for Marian High School in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Attaining both of her degrees at Boston University, Goodrich received a Master's in Health Education in 2009 after completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2006. She serves as an approved preceptor for Boston University Athletic Training program and is licensed in the state of Massachusetts to practice athletic training. She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
