Nate Ball has been deeply involved with MIT Pole Vaulting since his freshman year in 2001. A two-time All American with a personal best of 5.1 m, Nate continues to pose a threat to the varsity team when he vaults in the annual alumni meet each year. Though busy with his company Atlas Devices and raising a future vaulter with his wife Cat, also an All American pole vaulter from MIT, he provides backup support to the other assistant coaches when extra coaching power is needed. Nate is also the host of the PBS Kids TV show Design Squad, and the author of the "Alien in my Pocket" children's science adventure book series.
