Entering his 16th year at MIT in 2023-24, Patrick Haumesser serves as the assistant director of athletics for business management after being promoted in Spring 2019.
In his role, Haumesser serves as the primary administrative contact for all financial matters involving the intercollegiate athletic programs at MIT, including reconciliation of monthly accounts and preparation and analysis of intercollegiate sport budgets and department financial reports. In addition, Haumesser has head coach and varsity sport oversight, as well as practice, contest and travel/financial management responsibilities. Combined with his duties assisting in the preparation and management of the DAPER budget, he works alongside the Department of Administration of Finance and the Department of Student Life.
Prior to joining the DAPER team he was Director of Intramurals at Georgetown Preparatory School in Bethesda, Maryland. Under his counseling and development he facilitated multiple groups of faculty and students as well as handled budgets totaling over $35,000. In 2005 Haumesser worked for the West Side Rowing Club in Buffalo, New York for two years coordinating schedules for regattas and functions in conjunction with supervising the racing equipment and club facilities.
Patrick is a graduate of Canisius College, in Buffalo, N.Y., with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Master of Science in athletic administration.
