AT MIT
Sarah Roger Shannon enters her fifth year at MIT as an athletic trainer in 2026-27. In the spring of 2026 she received the SAAC Superior Service Award for her work as an athletic trainer with the Engineers' intercollegiate athletic programs.
BEFORE MIT
Roger Shannon came to MIT from Lesley University, where she served as the Head Athletic Trainer from September 2020-June 2022. Prior to that, she spent one year in Buies Creek, North Carolina working with the Campbell Univeristy Camel's football and women's basketball programs.Â
OTHER EXPERIENCES
While completing her Master's degree, Roger Shannon worked full-time as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Delaware.Â
EDUCATION
Roger Shannon earned her Bachelor's of Science in Atheltic Training from the University of Connecticut in 2016, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then went on to receive her Master's of Science in Kinesiology and Applied Physiology from the University of Delaware in 2018. Roger Shannon also completed a Neurotrauma and Spine residency at Boston University in 2020.Â
FAMILY LIFE
Roger Shannon spends her free time with her daughter, Elise, her husband, Brian, and her two dogs, Raleigh and Jager.
