Vinny Papageorgiou is entering his second year as an assistantcoach for the MIT men’s soccer program. He comes to theEngineers after being a four-year starter in net at Franklin PierceUniversity. Papageorgiou earned CoSIDA Academic All-America, NSCAAAll-America and Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year honors. He ledthe Ravens to multiple conference championship victories, includingan appearance in the NCAA Final Four.

Papageorgiou has worked with Massachusetts Olympic DevelopmentProgram as a goalkeeper coach. He will be working with MIT’sgoalkeepers throughout the season. Upon graduating in May 2012,Papageorgiou received his Bachelor of Science degree in sports andrecreation management with a minor in management.
