Louise van den Heuvel enters her fifth season as an assistant coach of the MIT men’s and women’s cross country and track and field coaching staff in 2019-20 following a decorated four years on the track and trails at MIT.

As a four-time All-American, former team captain van den Heuvel brings significant experience having competed at the NCAA Division III Championships for both cross country and track and field throughout her career as an Engineer. Van den Heuvel majored in mechanical engineering and earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors three years in a row.

Van den Heuvel currently works at a medical device engineering consulting company in nearby Central Square.
