In her first competition of the 2023-24 indoor season, Alexis Boykin was the runner-up and top Division III performer in both the weight throw and the shot put at the Suffolk Relays this past Saturday. In the weight throw, her mark of 18.91m (62-1/2) broke the MIT record and would have been the second-best mark going into the NCAA indoor championship last year. In the shot put, Boykin's mark of 13.89m (45-7) would have been a 2023 indoor championship qualifying performance. She currently ranks first in Division III in the weight throw and second in the shot put.
