Junior Cimmy Virdi established a new NCAA Division III record in the Pole Vault, recording a clear of 14-0 (4.27m). Virdi, who shattered the MIT, facility and New England Division III meet record, entered the meet with a seed mark of 3.77m, but recorded clears of 3.87m, 3.97m, 4.07m and 4.22m before registering the historic mark. Her outstanding performance helped the fourth-ranked team clinch the New England Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship for the second straight season. Her effort was also recognized by the USTFCCCA as the National Athlete of the Week.
