Sophomore Dougie Kogut captured the 200-fly national title on the third day of the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championship with a time of 1:47.28. His mark earned him All-America honors, a new MIT standard and new lifetime best. Kogut became the second men’s swimmer in program history to win an Individual National Championship. Over the course of the four-day meet, Kogut also earned Honorable Mention All-America accolades in the 200-back in which he placed 9th with a time of 1:47.35.
