Sophomore David Whitaker ran a personal record in the 800m at the Boston University Valentine Invitational on Friday, finishing in 1:50.97 to take 43rd at the multi-divisional event. Whitaker’s time moved him to sixth nationally among Division III runners in the event. He returned on Saturday at the Tufts Stampede, helped MIT’s Distance Medley Relay to a time of 9:53.96, currently the second best time nationally.
