Senior Jessica Chen helped the No. 7 MIT Women’s Swimming & Diving team to their eighth consecutive NEWMAC Conference Championship win this weekend, winning three individual events and swimming on three winning relays. Chen won the 200 IM (2:06.34), 100 breaststroke (1:02.53), and 200 breaststroke (2:18.75), all NCAA B cuts. Her time in the 100 breaststroke broke her school record of 1:03.17 set in December and established a new meet record. Chen also swam the breaststroke legs on the winning 200 and 400 medley relays while also leading off the winning 200 free relay. The MIT 200 medley relay set a new school, meet, and NEWMAC record with their winning time of 1:43.45.
