In a 4-0 week for the No. 16 Engineers that was capped by winning the New England Challenge title for the fourth year in a row, Ali Gibbs totaled 26 kills, a .344 hitting percentage, 19 digs, nine blocks, and three aces. She posted five kills and six digs in a 25-20, 25-21, 25-21 win at Babson last Tuesday. In a 25-12, 21-25, 25-9, 25-16 victory against Tufts in the opening match of the New England Challenge on Friday, Gibbs registered eight kills, five blocks, three digs, and two aces. She generated six kills, five digs, and a block in a sweep of Middlebury (25-17, 25-16, 25-18) before closing out the tournament with seven kills, five digs, three blocks, and an ace in a 25-17, 25-19, 25-20 win over Williams. For her performance, Gibbs was named the New England Challenge Tournament MVP.
