Despite rowing with bow No. 1, MIT trailed Drexel and Marist halfway through the race. The Engineers hit their stride as they passed Harvard's boathouses and coxswain junior Angela Su (Newton, Mass.) steered a tight course, putting MIT in first place at the finish with a time of 14:55.203.
