MIT eventually cut its deficit in half when Orrson redirected a pass from Davis with 13 seconds remaining before halftime.

A defensive battle ensued until Traub set up Orrson for a man-up goal to knot the score at six with 2:57 on the clock.
Florida Tech gained some breathing room with two goals during the first 1:27 of the final frame. Traub brought the visitors within one (8-7) at the 11:29 mark but this was as close as it would get as the Panthers responded with six straight goals to secure the victory.
MIT concludes its trip to Florida with a visit to Lynn University on Wednesday, March 25.
