- Following a missed layup by the Lions, MIT could not connect on its next three field-goal attempts. The hosts then went 7-of-8 at the free throw line to secure the win despite a Jomard jumper with 10 ticks left that brought the Engineers within three (79-76) and a trey by sophomore Samuel Bockman (Oceanside, Calif.) at the buzzer.
