HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT jumped out to a quick 3-1 lead with 5:58 left in the first quarter as junior Mitch Turley (Westfield, Ind.) picked up his second goal of the game. After Emmanuel's Charlie Moran scored a man-up goal for the 3-2 margin just over a minute later, the Engineers went on a 6-1 run for the 9-3 lead as junior Graham Davis (Crofton, Md.) found the back of the net with 1:09 left before the break. The Saints scored twice over the last 37 seconds though, making it just a 9-5 margin at the half.
- The third quarter was even at 3-3 as Moran scored his second man-up tally of the game to send the contest into the final 15 minutes at 12-8 in favor of MIT. Emmanuel cut it to a 13-10 margin on an unassisted score from Tony Cibelli late, but the Engineers used a pair of goals from senior Harris Stolzenberg (Weston, Fla.) to close on a 3-0 run for the 16-10 victory.
