- Records: MIT (8-4, 4-1 NEWMAC); Mount Holyoke (2-8, 1-4 NEWMAC)

- Location: Cambridge, Mass. (Jack Barry Field)

- The Lead: Led by a hat trick by junior Erica Radler (Wayne, N.J.), the MIT field hockey team pulled away for a 6-0 shutout victory over Mount Holyoke on Saturday afternoon to improve to 6-1 at Jack Barry Field this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Radler started the scoring just 6:24 into the first quarter as sophomore Lydia Patterson (Houston, Texas) dribbled in and drew MHC goalie Andie Hardin out before finding Radler for her fifth goal of the season. The game remained at 1-0 until the midway point of the third quarter when first-year Alice Zehner (Gladwyne, Pa.) notched her first goal of the year to push the lead to 2-0 in favor of the Engineers.

- Radler made it a 3-0 margin with 4:21 left in the third before opening the fourth quarter with her seventh goal of the year for the hat trick. Junior Paige Forester (Glencoe, Ill.) picked up the assist on the goal as she dribbled the ball into the circle and found Radler at the post for the 4-0 lead.

- Forester found the net with 8:49 remaining for her league-leading 18th goal of the season as the Engineers converted on a penalty corner opportunity. Moments later, first-year Eva Oppenheim (Larkspur, Calif.) closed out the scoring with her third goal of the year off a pass from Forester for the 6-0 final.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- With one goal and two assists today, Forester now has 98 career points as she has totaled 44 goals and 14 assists over her 32 career games.
