- The Lead: In an exhibition game on Saturday afternoon, the MIT men's basketball team dropped a 98-52 final to Division I Harvard University at Lavietes Pavilion in Cambridge.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- Harvard shot a blistering 63 percent from the field in the first half to build to a large lead and ended the game shooting 61.4 percent from the field and 63 percent from three overall.

- The Engineers settled down a bit in the second half and shot 44.4 percent from the field, but the Crimson pulled away for the 46-point victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Sophomore
Charles Rich (Holladay, Utah) paced MIT with 16 points, including 4-of-9 from three-point land. He was joined in double figures by senior
Giannis Chatziveroglou (Athens, Greece) with a 12-point effort on 4-of-6 shooting from the field.

- The Crimson held a 37-24 rebounding advantage, while the Engineers forced 16 Harvard turnovers and turned those into 14 points on the other end.

Samuel Silverstein both finished with 16 points apiece to lead Harvard as six players finished in double figures overall.
