The Lead: Nationally-ranked No. 15/16 Tufts University used a 22-6 run during the final six minutes of regulation to pull away for an 81-65 victory over MIT in a non-conference women's basketball game on Saturday afternoon. Senior
Christina Antonakakis (Holmdel, N.J.) led all players with 25 points to go along with three assists and a steal for the Engineers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- After a back-and-forth start to the game, a layup by Antonakakis sparked a 9-2 spurt which gave MIT an 18-13 lead with 2:14 left in the quarter. Tufts knocked down a three-pointer on its next possession, but senior
Kylie Gallagher (Upton, Mass.) drained a layup, increasing the Engineers' margin to 20-16 at the end of the frame.

- MIT carried the momentum into the second quarter as its lead grew to 10 points within 41 seconds. The Jumbos responded with seven unanswered points, narrowing the gap to 26-23 at the 7:15 mark. An exchange of baskets followed until a jumper from Antonakakis and a layup by first-year
Olivia Joseph (Newtown Square, Pa.) increased the Engineers' cushion to 36-29 with 3:29 on the clock. Tufts rattled off six straight points during the next 1:13, however, a jumper by Antonakakis with 11 seconds left gave MIT a 38-25 edge at halftime.

- After trading baskets to open the third quarter, the Jumbos went on an 18-2 run which resulted in a 57-44 advantage with 1:37 left. Sparked by layup from Antonakakis, the Engineers mounted a 15-2 run as first-year
Sarah Berman's (York, Pa.) jumper tied the game at 59 with 6:02 remaining in the fourth quarter. Tufts replied with a layup on its ensuing possession, igniting its game-winning 22-6 run.

- Gallagher totaled 18 points and six rebounds as first-year
Kamsi Nwogu (Algonquin, Ill.) registered eight points, four rebounds, and two assists. Senior
Annika Sougstad (Mahtomedi, Minn.) contributed five rebounds and a block.

- Both teams produced 42 points in the paint and 14 points from their respective benches. Tufts ended the day with advantages in rebounds (49-31), points off turnovers (20-12), and second-chance points (21-9).

- The Engineers shot 46.8 percent (29-of-62) from the floor, 50.0 percent (5-of-10) from three-point range, and 33.3 percent (2-of-6) from the free throw line.
