-Â The Lead:Â Five goals in the second half helped lead MIT to a 7-0 season opening victory over Lesley on Wednesday night. Will Seiple (Boulder, Colo.) and Peter Novoa (Omaha, Neb.) led the way with two goals apiece in the contest.

- 45th Minute (44:16) – MIT 2, Lesley, 0: Aidan Hallinan (Carlsbad, Calif.) sent a pass to the middle of the box for Seiple who converted on the header.
- 54th Minute (53:21) – MIT 3, Lesley, 0: Guntvedt set up Billy Menken (Woodbury, Minn.) with a pass that he was able to tip in past the Lesley netminder.
- 58th Minute (57:30) – MIT 4, Lesley, 0: Nova tipped in a deflection off of a save by the Lynx for his second of the evening.
- 75th Minute (74:46) – MIT 5, Lesley, 0: Rami Bikdash (Oak Ridge, N.C) sent a pass over in front of the net as Seiple slid and got a toe on the ball to put it in the back of the net.
79th Minute (78:04) – MIT 6, Lesley, 0 : Alex Weiler ( Portland, Ore.) took a pass from Seiple and got past his defender and lifted the ball over Bolduc.
86th Minute (85:03) – MIT 7, Lesley, 0 : Hendrik Mayer ( Montville, N.J.) converted on a free kick with a low shot into the corner of the net.  Â
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The two goals by Seiple set a new career-high while Novoa tied his career best.
- Guntvedt finished the night with two assists in his first collegiate game.
