Men's Soccer Improves to 2-0 With 3-0 Victory over Emmanuel

MIT has yet to allow a shot this season

THE BASICS:

- Score: MIT - 3 , Emmanuel - 0

- Records: MIT (2-0-0); Emmanuel (1-1-0)

- Location: Cambridge, Mass. (Roberts Field at Steinbrenner Stadium)

- The Lead:  The MIT men's soccer team recorded its second consecutive shutout of the season as the Engineers defeated Emmanuel, 3-0 on Saturday night.

SCORING SUMMARY:

- 3rd Minute (2:24) – MIT- 1, Emmanuel – 0: Jack Snowdon (Lorton, Va.) put MIT on the board early with a header off of a corner kick that was perfectly placed in front of the net by sophomore Garrett Robinson (Winfield, Ill.).

- 33rd Minute (32:45) – MIT- 2, Emmanuel – 0: Junior Hendrik Mayer (Montville N.J.) converted on a penalty kick and powered the ball past Matthew LaMondia in goal.

55th Minute (54:17) – MIT – 3, Emmanuel – 0: Richter Brzeski (Los Angeles, Calif.) corralled the ball and snuck the ball past LaMondia for his first score of the season.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- The Engineers are now 9-0 all-time against the Saints.

- The MIT defense has yet to allow a shot this season.
