HOW IT HAPPENED:

Sam Gozelski (East Northport, N.Y.) sacked quarterback
Jack Maguire in the end zone for a safety and the early 2-0 edge.
Â
- The Seahawks took the lead with just 3:44 left in the second quarter as
Hayden Hulme pulled in a 55-yard TD catch from Maguire for the 7-2 edge and appeared poised to take that lead into halftime. The Engineers answered though with a nine-play, 65-yard drive that took just 3:25 and was capped by a two-yard touchdown run by sophomore
Brady Klein (Washington, Ill.) for the 9-7 MIT lead at the break.
Â
- After a scoreless third quarter, the Seahawks took the lead for good with 10:43 left in the fourth on an eight-yard TD catch by
Max DeVito that was followed by a two-point conversion for the 15-9 lead. Salve added a long touchdown run by
Joey Mauriello as he scored up the middle from 45 yards out with 2:58 on the clock to cap a 91-yard drive that took just six plays and the game was seemingly in hand for the Seahawks.
Â
- MIT answered though on the next series with a four-play, 79-yard drive that culminated in a 13-yard touchdown pass from graduate student
Chris Mauck (Wellington, Fla.) to graduate student
