HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Cougars got in the board in the 21st minute on a successful penalty kick by Brian Brennan at 20:49.
- Early in the second half Alex Weiler (Portland, Ore.) sent a pass from the far side of the field to Garrett Robinson (Winfield, Ill.) for the tap in goal to tie the game at one at 49:53.
- Clark responded as Byron Lind sent an outlet pass to Teddy Donahue whose shot creeped past MIT netminder, Zak Zhang (Bellevue, Wash.), to give the Cougars the lead, 2-1 at 57:02.
- MIT tied the game once again at 77:47 as Peter Novoa (Omaha, Neb.) dove to get his foot on the ball which defected right to the diving Noah Faro (Rexford, N.Y.) who tapped it in right inside the post to knot the game up at two.
- Both teams put together good scoring chances both at the end of regulation and in both overtime periods, however neither team was able to net the winning goal.
