HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Pride took a quick lead three minutes into the contest as Finn Welch put a one-touch ball just under the crossbar for the score.

- MIT pressured the visitors the remainder of the first half but couldn't convert on the tying goal.

- The Engineers finally got that tying goal in the second half as Aidan Hallinan (Carlsbad, Calif.) sent a pass into Garrett Robinson (Winfield, Ill.)  who buried the ball into the corner of the net at 69:56.

- Just about 10 minutes later Robinson sent the ball into senior Peter Novoa (Omah, Neb.) who put the ball into the corner of the net to give the Engineers a 2-1 lead.

- The Pride attempted to tie the match, but the Engineers defense stepped up once again and made Novoa's goal count as MIT took the thrilling 2-1 win.
