Â
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Â
- The Engineers took an early lead at 6-3 following a pair of free throws from first-year

Ricky Martin's three tied it at 8-8 for the Saints and the visitors quickly moved out to a nine-point lead at 19-10 with 12:10 remaining in the first.
Â
- MIT put together a run and clawed its way back to within 30-26 at the 5:10 mark following a three-point play from first-year
Parker Spann (Omaha, Neb.). Emmanuel answered in a big way though as a 13-6 run made it at 43-32 margin at the half as Spann hit a pair of free throws as the period expired.
Â
- In the second half, the Engineers continued to trail by 12 at 55-43 following a Spann layup before the Saints stretched the lead up to 20 for the first time on a three-point play from
Zaire Baines. The visitors led by as many as 27 points on two occasions, en route to the 17-point final margin.
Â
