- The Lead: The MIT men's tennis team took down Division I Holy Cross in commanding fashion as the Engineers defeated the Crusaders 8-1 on Friday afternoon.

- MIT swept the doubles with all three courts going to MIT in straight sets. Junior
Derek Shen (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) and sophomore
Sundeep Chakladar (Redondo Beach, Calif.) opened doubles play with an 8-3 win in the No. 1 position. Sophomore
Joseph Li (Naperville, Ill.) and first-year
Benjamin Ebanks (New York City, N.Y.) won in three doubles (8-6) and first-year
Ryan Xiao (Cary, N.C.) and sophomore
Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) sealed the doubles sweep with an 8-6 win.
- Junior
Daniel Papacica (Carmel, Calif.) got singles action started with a 6-0, 6-1 win in the two-position followed by a 6-4, 6-4 win in the sixth position by Chakladar.
- Junior
Benji Grossman (Sands Point, N.Y.) took a 6-4, 6-4 win in four singles followed by a 7-6, 6-1 win by junior
Richter Jordaan (Denver, Colo.) in No. 3 singles. First-year
Daniel Antov (Austin, Texas) wrapped up the win with a tough three-set match in No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-7, 10-8).

- MIT heads out on the road for the first time this season as the Engineers will travel to Maine to take on Bates College tomorrow. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
