- The Engineers started strong, winning all three doubles matches convincingly. In No.1 doubles, first-year
Carl-Herman Grant (Oslo, Norway) and junior
Daniel Papacica (Carmel, Calif.) took an 8-3 win followed by an 8-0 MIT win in No. 2 doubles by junior
Derek Shen (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) and first-year
Daniel Antov (Austin, Texas). First-year
Wayne Nelms (Baltimore, Md.) and sophomore
Sundeep Chakladar (Redondo Beach, Calif.) closed out doubles action with an 8-2 win.

- MIT won all six singles matches in straight sets, including two 6-0, 6-0 matches. Papacica and sophomore
Daniel Sharygin (Newburgh, Ind.) both won their matches 6-0, 6-0 in No. 3 and No. 6 singles respectively.

- Shen won in No. 1 singles by a 6-3, 6-3 score followed by Antov in two singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win. Sophomore
Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) took No. 4 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-0 while first-year
Ryan Xiao (Cary, N.C.) won in five singles by a 6-0, 6-2 score.
