- MIT extended its lead to 3-0 in the fourth on a solo shot over the left-field wall by Relihan and an RBI double to left by junior Haley Samuelsen (Houston, Texas) that plated first-year Mackenzie Bivin (San Diego, Calif.). Sophomore Rylie Spiegel (Bradenton, Fla.) came around to score on a double from Relihan that made it a 4-0 game in the fifth.

- A four-run sixth sealed the win for MIT. Samuelson registered another RBI double and scored on a triple from junior Jordan Sell (Schwenksville, Pa.). Sell came around to score on a sacrifice fly from Spiegel and a single from Katia Pendowski (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) plated senior Claire Wichman (Omaha, Neb.) for the eighth MIT run.
