- The Lead: The MIT men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 match to No. 3 Tufts on Thursday afternoon on the duPont Tennis Courts.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Engineers grabbed a win in No. 2 doubles with sophomore
Sundeep Chakladar (Redondo Beach, Calif.) and first-year
Wayne Nelms (Baltimore, Md.) defeating
Isaac Gorelik and
Paris Pentousis by an 8-6 score. The pair is now 10-1 overall and 4-1 in the two position.
- Tufts took all six singles matches, but sophomore
Kailas Kahler (Pawtucket, R.I.) and junior
Daniel Papacica (Carmel, Calif.) both pushed their matches to three sets. Kahler fell in the one position, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4, while Papacica was defeated in the No. 3 position, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.

- MIT wraps up the regular season with a key NEWMAC contest on the road against Babson on Saturday, April 23rd. The match will begin at 3:30 p.m.
