HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT came out quickly as the Engineers put up six shots on net in the match's first 20 minutes, but
Thomas Reardon saved them all to keep the game scoreless.

- Gordon broke the scoreless tie in the 41st minute with a goal from
Benji Wright. MIT looked to tie with shots from sophomore
Nathan Guntvedt (Santa Clara, Calif.) and junior
Billy Menken (Woodbury, Minn.), but the Engineers could not get the ball into the back of the net. Â

- The home team looked to take a 2-0 lead in the second half, but junior
Lukas Hanson-Puffer (London, England) turned away shots from
Benji Dahlke and
Casey Torres to keep it a one-goal game.

- With time winding down, senior
Adam Snowdon (Lorton, Va.) put one final shot on goal in the 86th minute but it was turned away by Reardon to give Gordon the 1-0 win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Engineers outshot the Fighting Scots 15-8 including 11-1 in the first half.

- Hanson-Puffer made three saves while his counterpart made 10.

- Both teams earned three corner kicks in the match.
