Five Different Goal Scorers Lead Men's Soccer Past Clark, 5-2

THE BASICS:
 
- Score: MIT - 5, Clark - 2
 
- Records: MIT (2-4-0, 1-0-0 NEWMAC), Clark (1-5-0, 0-1-0 NEWMAC)
 
- Location: Worcester, Mass. (Granger Field)
 
- The Lead: Five different goal scorers helped lead the MIT men's soccer team to a decisive 5-2 win on the road against Clark in both teams' NEWMAC opener on Saturday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
 
- MIT put up three goals in the first half with the first coming off the foot of senior Rami Bikdash (Oak Ridge, N.C.) off a pass from classmate Richter Brzeski (Los Angeles, Calif.). Junior Garrett Robinson (Winfield, Ill.) made it 2-0 at 25:59, and junior James Simon (Ann Arbor, Mich.) made it a 3-0 lead with his goal at 34:10.
 
- Clark came fighting back in the second half scoring two goals just over three minutes apart to cut the MIT lead to one.
 
- MIT sealed the game with goals from senior Adam Snowdon (Lorton, Va.) and junior Aidan Hallinan (Carlsbad, Calif.) that came just 19 seconds apart. Snowdon's goal came at 81:50 and Hallinan followed with the score at 82:09.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
 
- The Engineers held a 25-8 advantage in shots and shots on goal (12-3).
 
- MIT set season highs in goals, shots, and shots on goals.
 
- Bikdash and Robinson recorded their second goals of the season with Simon, Snowdon, and Hallinan scoring their first goals.
 
- Senior Paarth Desai (Lawrenceville, Ga.) earned his first win in net.
