Bikdash Scores Twice to Lead Men's Soccer Past Regis, 2-0

THE BASICS:

- Score: MIT - 2, Regis - 0

- Records: MIT (3-4-0), Regis (3-3-0)

- Location: Cambridge, Mass. (Roberts Field)

- The Lead: Senior Rami Bikdash (Oak Ridge, N.C.) scored twice in the first half to help lead the MIT men's soccer team to a 2-0 win over visiting Regis under the lights on Roberts Field on Monday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- At the 8:04 mark junior Garrett Robinson (Winfield, Ill.) sent in a corner kick to the front of the net, where sophomore Jack Minor (Boca Raton, Fla.) headed the ball to the waiting foot of Bikdash for the score.

- The second goal from Bikdash came on a penalty kick at 22:31.

- Regis had an opportunity to cut the MIT lead to one at 24:01 on a shot from Nick Cardenas, but after junior Zachary Zhang (Bellevue, Wash.) came out from the net, Bikdash came over and cleared the ball to preserve the two-goal lead.

- Pride keeper Freddie Beckmann made two point-blank saves in the first half to keep Regis close.

- Senior John Flynn (Ashburn, Va.) looked to make it a three-score game in the 54th minute, but Beckmann made a diving save to knock the ball away.
