- The Lead: The MIT men's soccer team won its third game in a row as junior
Garrett Robinson (Winfield, Ill.) scored twice to help give the Engineers a 3-2 win over Wentworth on the road on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- MIT got on the board in the 16th minute when senior
Richter Brzeski (Los Angeles, Calif.) sent a cross to the right side of the field to classmate
Will Seiple (Boulder, Colo.) who placed the ball into the lower middle of the net for his first goal of the season.
Â
- Robinson made it a 2-0 game at 34:43 as he dribbled past the Leopards' defense and put a shot into the upper right corner of the net.

- Senior
Rami Bikdash (Oak Ridge, N.C.) sent a pass across the box to Robinson who tipped the ball off the keepers' hands to make it 3-0 at 61:43.

- The Leopards were awarded a penalty kick at 62:08, however, the shot from
Erik Treble was turned away by junior
Zachary Zhang (Bellevue, Wash.).

- Wentworth started a comeback with a goal from 25-yards out by
Raphael Ribeiro to cut the MIT lead to two at 69:25. The Leopards made it a one-score game with just under five minutes remaining when
TJ Prouty corralled a rebound off a
Jordon Smith shot for the goal.

- The Engineers' defense held firm for the remaining four minutes to secure the victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- MIT moves to 17-7-2 all-time vs. Wentworth.
Â
- The Engineers outshot Wentworth 20-12 and held an 8-6 edge in shots-on-goal.

- MIT held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.

- Robinson is tied with Bikdash for the team lead in goals (4) and is one point behind for the team lead in points. Bikdash leads the way with nine points on the season.

Paarth Desai (Lawrenceville, Ga.) got his second win year for the Engineers. Zhang played the second half and made four saves.
