The Engineers have now won nine straight games, marking the program's longest winning streak since capturing 11 straight during the 2019 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- MIT got on the scoreboard just 18 seconds into the game when first-year Janie Thomas (Houston, Texas) scored her sixth goal of the year off an assist from Ladd for the 1-0 advantage. The Engineers scored three more before the 10-minute mark with two coming off the stick of junior Ashley Lederman (Villanova, Pa.) and one from Ladd off a crossing pass from junior Eva Oppenheim (Tiburon, Calif.).

- Ladd made it a 5-0 game just 37 seconds into the second quarter, followed by her third goal of the game on a tip-in to complete the hat trick. Sophomore Shealy Callahan (Oak Park, Ill.) assisted on the third goal from Ladd and then scored a pair of her own to close out the first-half scoring at 8-0 in favor of MIT.

- Following a scoreless third quarter, Laurissa Montigny got the Lyons on the board with a penalty stroke with 6:23 remaining in the fourth. First-year Sammi Blocher (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) poked home the final goal of the game for the Engineers and her second of the season to account for the 9-1 final margin.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- In addition to Ladd's hat trick, Lederman and Callahan each posted two goals and one assist as 10 different Engineers recorded at least one point in the game.
