- Location: Fairlee, Vt. (Lake Morey)

- The Lead: On Saturday morning on Lake Morey, the MIT women's openweight crew team competed against Dartmouth College and UMass. The race conditions were calm and 45 degrees at the start before strong gusts and headwinds built over the middle thousand.

A LOOK INSIDE THE RACES:

- In the Varsity 8 race, the Engineers were competitive throughout and made a really strong move to get out ahead of UMass as MIT defeated UMass by a 5.78-second margin. The Big Green took first in that event, crossing six seconds in front of the Engineers.

- In the 2V8, the Engineers battled sickness issues and battled in a tough race with UMass. UMass eventually pulled away over the final 500 as MIT finished in a hard-fought time of 7:25.28.

- In the Varsity 4, the Engineers three extremely talented crews and finished in fourth in a time of 9:13.48.
