The Lions answered in a big way with two outs in the bottom of the sixth when Quinton Copeland tied the game at 8-8 on a three-run homer to left.

- MIT went back in front in the top of the eighth as junior Tyler Godfrey (Rowley, Mass.) came around to score on a sacrifice fly to center by senior Graham Cartwright (La Jolla, Calif.) after Godfrey reached on a leadoff walk.

Game Two
HOW IT HAPPENED:

- MIT jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the first behind six hits, led by a double to left center from Cartwright. The Engineers chased Emerson starter Josh Caltabiano with two outs in the inning and headed into the bottom of the first with the lead. - The game stayed that way at 6-2 until the bottom of the sixth when Matt Nachamie struck with the long ball in the form of a two-run home run to left that cut the margin to 6-4. Ty Bourne scored on a two-out wild pitch in the seventh to close within one, followed by a three-run homer to left center by Nachamie for the eventual game-winning runs and the 8-6 final score.
