The Engineers ended up 3.5 seconds back of Holy Cross and advanced to the Petite Final.
Â
- In the V4 Petite Final, the Engineers got off to a fast start in the first 500 and continued to extend their advantage over the middle 1,000. MIT built a two-boat lead near the 1,000-meter mark, en route to a final winning time of 8:09.040 to defeat Lehigh by over 24 seconds.
Â
Second Varsity 8
- The MIT Second Varsity 8 finished in second out of five boats in heat one as the Engineers crossed in a time of 7:02.210 to advance to the Grand Final. MIT extended that advantage to a half-boat length in the middle 1,000 and crossed the line with three seats of open water on Bucknell.
Â
- In the Grand Final, MIT got off to a slow start before settling down in fifth place. The Engineers held off the Crusaders for much of the race before Holy Cross nipped MIT at the line by less than a second. MIT finished sixth on the 2,000-meter course with a time of 7:07.048.
Â

MIT crossed in a time of 6:53.110, finishing with four seats of open water over the Hoyas.
Â
- In the Grand Final, MIT rowed from Lane 4 and after a solid start, the Engineers used a strong third 500 meters to move to a half-boat lead in front of Bucknell. MIT held off a consistent Bison surge over the final 500, finishing at 6:46.828 to defeat Bucknell by 3.14 seconds and finish third overall out of six.
